Tripods

Our forklift and reach stackers are ideal for handling the 25-100 ton sections during the manufacturing process of offshore wind turbine foundations (tripods). A single Konecranes forklift truck or reach stacker can lift 60-80 tons. In tandem lifting, 120-160 tons can be lifted.

Towers

Large Konecranes forklifts and reach stackers are used in the production of the tower sections, which can weigh anywhere from 30 to 100 tons. Our reach stackers, equipped with a crane hook, can lift from 50 to 80 tons up to 15 meters high.

Blades

Wind turbine blades can be handled with reach stackers equipped with sling attachments, or with forklift trucks.

Nacelles

Konecranes reach stackers, equipped with special attachments, are ideal for material handling during the nacelle construction process.

Starting from the Konecranes reach stacker SMV 4545, our Nordic partner NC Nielsen has developed a heavyweight champion from which shipping companies, supply bases, harbour terminals and wind turbine producers can benefit from.

With a net weight of 110 tons, a width of 4.9 metres and a length with the boom down of 15 metres, this giant reach stacker can lift 152 tons from its hook.

A reinforced boom, increased counterweight, larger lifting cylinders are just few of the reconfigured parts that allow this equipment to lift and move items from a location to another, safely, efficiently and with easy manoeuvrability.
